Hello fellow Marines, I am Steve Wilkos. I enlisted in the Marines in Oct 1982 and went to boot camp at MCRD San Diego 2nd Battalion Gulf Company Platoon 2092. I then went to Camp Delmar, Camp Pendleton for my mos school which was administration. I had an mos of 0121 and 0151. I then went to Okinawa, 3rd Marine Division, 7th com battalion at Camp Hanson in May of 83. I participated in team spirit 84 in Korea. I rotated back to Quantico, Va in May of 84. I was assigned to Security Battalion. I then transfered to Glenview NAS Illinois MAG-48 in August of 86. It was nice to be home. From there I went to Parris Island, SC in August of 87 were I was assigned to various units. I was discharged honorably in March of 1989 and went back to Chicago. My rank was E-5 Sgt when I got out. The Marine Corps was a great part of my life and made me who I am today. If anyone would like to contact me my email is stevewilkos@me.com

Of course something lacking a grasp of the phonetic alphabet would say they were in "gulf" company. Makes perfect sense that someone who worked in comm would call it gulf company.
Security Battalion in Quantico, VA is a private company categorized under Guard Services. Our records show it was established in 2010 and incorporated in Virginia. Current estimates show this company has an annual revenue of $34,000 and employs a staff of approximately 1. I was with PPAC and 2nd battalion. I was the training NCO under Capt. Mike Pynes. Security Battalion back in 1984 was in charge of the brig and mp's. My barracks were on fuller road. By the way I was in a comm battalion but I had a admin mos.
