Veteran's widow benefits -update

Hi all,
Several months ago, last December actually, I posted that I had applied for Veteran's widow benefits. My late husband was a Vietnam veteran (USMC) and was exposed to Agent Orange. After many months of going back and forth with the VA, with the help of the fantastic VFW, I finally was granted my claim. I received the notification this week, and was shocked beyond belief because I felt so discouraged at the hoops I had to jump through. Apparently several more diseases have been linked to exposure to Agent Orange and diabetes mellitus is one of them, which my husband was diagnosed with about 5 years before he died. A few other medical problems were also linked to Agent Orange.

I cannot tell you how much this will change my life. I cannot say enough about the wonderful help I received from the VFW!
