Slings

Before deployment I want to make sure I'm set with a good sling. I've seen one point slings and like them and was told I'll be issued a sling but it'll be better if I buy my own. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to look for or actual slings they used?

Depends what weapon you are carrying. I normally use a 1 pt made by Blackhawk for my M4.

Well we just did table 1 and 2 and most had the m4 but I and others had m16a4's. These aren't are issued weapons as I'm told there isn't enough but hope I'm issued a m4 for my deployment next year.

If you get an M4, you'll get a one point...M16, 3 point. I like one points better since you have a lot more range of motion. But you should check to see if your Bn lets you use them since mine doesn't...only in country.
Get a one point if you can...Spector makes some great slings.

they were allowed at the range and obviously in country.

I do know we all had to o get tan slings before we deployed too, no sure why, but we definetly had to get rid of the black ones.
