Medical retirement at 23…24.
I have been in my beloved corps for just a good minute; 21 Feb. will be 3 years. Back in November ‘08, I had surgery, for a femoroacetabular impingement, a pincer impingement, torn cartilage, and the fixing of thickening ligaments and tendons from lack of correct use. Now after this very invasive surgery I am left with a 6” scar down my right hip and still unable to perform at the level that is required. I do not want out of the Marine Corps; let me get that right out there. I also want to be able to deploy, and be that hard charging Marine. I honestly can say at the rate of speed I am healing it is amazing for the civilian world but for my world, my Marine Corps, it is just not fast enough. I know that a separation from the Corps is going to happen, not by choice. I just need to know if there is any information out there that I need to know or should be aware of. It would greatly help, thank you.
