Just Wondering
Hello my name is Sigurdur Halldorsson, I'm from Iceland and I have always wanted to enlist to some military. But here in my country we don't have any military and never had any, the only military I can enlist to is the French Foreign Legion and this august I was planning on going there to France.
But I wan't to see my option to enlist to the US Military and I have always liked the Marines.
I know you need Visa Permit or Green Card to get into a military branch, have you guys heard/known anyone that was not US citizen or in that way that enlisted to the Marines, so if any of you Marines know this answer that I'm looking for I would gladly to hear that thanks.

Yes. As long as you have your greencard, you can enlist. You are also able to earn your citizenship through serving in the U.S. military, but unfortunately I don't know the exact amount of time you need to serve.
But yes, you can enlist as a non U.S. citizen.
