Hi to everyone, I'm new here and I'm honor to be here. I'm a senior in high school and I'm really intersted in joining the corps and serving my country. I have an issue though my height, I'm only 5.2 and 130 pounds, I want to know if there's a height requirement to be recruited or theres no way I make it. Can anyone inform me better at this and thank you fo your services

When I was in there wasn't but that was 1974 another Marine hopefully will answer your question.

There's definitely a minimum height requirement, but when I enlisted, it was 4'11 or something like that. It'd be a good idea to talk to a recruiter about his, as they should be up to speed on the current regs.

EDIT: Now that I think of it, you should be fine. A friend of mine (Corporal type) is between 5' and 5'2". So you should be good. Still recommend talking to a recruiter about it, though.

I'm 5' 3" and I did fine. And I was nowhere near the shortest male Marine that I knew. When I was checking in Marines at the Battlion S-3 shop in Oki, I heard a voice say "Good afternoon, LCpl" (I was a Lance at the time). I was like, WTF? "Who said that?" Next thing I know, I see the shortest Marine I'd ever lay eyes on struggling to put his head over the counter. I tried to supress my laughter, he couldn't have been taller than 4' 10". He was like, "It's ok, LCpl, I get that a lot."

I think it is 64" for males and 58 inches for females. What I always heard anyway. How tall was Audi Murphy?
