    Unhappy hope someone can help

I was hoping someone knew information about the Gov't wanting postal clerks, awhile back, to go overseas and help out.

there was an article that was getting passed around my job a couple of months ago. by the time i heard about it, the article was discarded. contact info that was with it gone. the jist of it was this:

-needing postal clerk to help sort the mail overseas
-100,000$ tax free for one years work
    -housing included
    -need to be prior service

For over a month now i have been researching the web, the library, asking any and everyone for this article that came out awhile back. This will be the first time trying out the forums for info.

    hope someone can help

Somehow I doubt the pay is $100,000.

    http://www.governmentguide.com/govsite.adp?bread=*Main&url=http%3A//www.governmentguide.com/ams/clickThruRedirect.adp%3F55076483%2C16920155%2Chttp %3A//www.usps.gov/

The USPS site has no info on what you describe. Looked at the employment part of the site too. You may want to check out USAJobs.com or the OPM.gov websites. They list government jobs on these sites.

By the way, $100,000 is like general officer pay or GS-15 on the pay scales. If a clerk gets that much, how much does the Postmaster General make?? I never saw the article you spoke of but some things just don't sound right. Tax-free income, yes, I can see that. The salary you stated, no way.

check those sites also during my web search.

the 100,000$ is typical pay. after we did in kosovo, we rebuilt it. we rebuild everything. a friend of mine ,whom was a truck driver before, left in 98 or around the kosovo time frame in answering an ad. they brought over police officers also (paid them 100,000$ also) to help teach the people how to police them selves.

this recent ad (around 2 months ago) id the first i heard of the gov't wanting 'postal clerks'.

the 100,000$ is only tax free if you ar there for at least 1 year.

thanks for the response and help though sixguns

this is the only link i could find. this shows the 100,000$ pay and that he was a cop in this article. this goes only when we bomb countries or try to help rebuild countries typically.

Arrow Maybe I can get one of those jobs

I'm thnking I ca use my PR and media skills to become the next information minister in Iraq. Do you think I can get $100,000? I'd be happy to train them on how to report only the facts and that bad news doesn't get better with age!! I'd live there for a year to do that -- tax free.
