Sacre Bleu! Weasels Are Feeding Marines

They don't have frogs legs or champagne on their menu, but America's Marines are being fed by the French.
A Marine Corps spokesman yesterday said that despite France's failure to support the U.S. military buildup against Iraq, they won't cancel a 5-month-old contract with a French company to manage 55 Marine mess halls.

"We have no plans to reconsider our contract and we'll honor it to its conclusion," said Capt. Nat Fahy, a Marine spokesman.

Since last October, the French company Sodexho has been handling food service at all Marine mess halls in the continental United States under a record-setting $881 million contract.
