38 years, and counting
It was the day after Mothers day in 1969 when this young 17 year old left home for the first time in my life! I boarded that jet plane in Nashville as though I had flown a million times. Within 20 minutes after arriving at MCRDSD I asked myself, why the hell did I do this?
That was 38 years ago today, the beginning of my Marine Corps life! Never looked back, never regreted one minute. I would do it all over again, if I could!

It was over 34 years ago for me. And 14 days ago I hung up my flight suit for the last time and retired my wings. How the time has flown!
