13th MEU Recognizes Marine of the Quarter

ABOARD THE USS BONHOMME RICHARD (May 4, 2007) -- The 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit recognized this quarter’s Marine of the quarter during the first leg of its Western Pacific deployment.

Lance Cpl. Gabrielle G. Reynoso, a wireman with the 13th MEU and Nampa, Idaho native, has been in the Marine Corps for 17 months.

“Her motivation and devotion to duty sets her apart from other Marines,” said Gunnery Sgt. Thomas B. Lanham, radio chief with the 13th MEU. “She strives to improve herself physically and mentally. She has strong character and is professional and mature.”

Since joining the Marine Corps, Reynoso sites one of her many highlights is meeting President George W. Bush during his visit to Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, Calif. last year. She plans to reenlist and put in a package to become a drill instructor.
