    Scar

    I was recently scarred while on a swingset. One of the chain links had a sharp barb sticking out and it pierced my shoulder. Although it is not infected and is healing rapidly it will leave a mark, when I get to meps to ship out will this be an issue or do I need to get a tetnis shot and bring documentation. Also (unrelated), will I be required to bring my social security card on my ship day? I need to know soon so I can request one via snail mail.

    The scar shouldn't be any problem, they will see it at MEPS, but if they don't show them if you are uneasy about it! As far as the SS Card, Yes get it! It will be the second most important card you will carry, your Marine Id the first!

    If I may ask, why don't you have your SS card now?
