TWENTYNINE PALMS -- A Marine sergeant who was involved in a late-November accident which claimed the lives of a Marine colonel and his wife could face vehicular manslaughter charges.

An investigation into the accident, which left the second Marine in a coma was due to be completed this week.

Det. Derek Garvin said Monday morning he expected his report to be ready for the district attorney's office sometime this week.

He confirmed that the accident was not alcohol-related but was possibly related to driver fatigue. His report, he said, calls the incident vehicular manslaughter.
