I've known the risks of being in the military, and I hear about it almost everyday. It really hasnt bothered me at all that I could be sent to Iraq. It also never crossed my mind that someone I know could die over in Iraq, especially one of my good buddies. That all hit me like a fcuking sack of hammers this weekend, when my buddy and I went home to find out that our good friend Spc. Sammy Boswell was dead. I delt with this in the best way I could think of...drinking myself stupid with my buddys and crying all weekend. Sammy was a great friend of ours, and I looked up to him a lot. He will be missed. Semper Fi. Here's to you buddy.

I did the same thing this weekend lamenting about Lcpl Seeley. Except I didn't have any real Bro's with me. The best I could muster up was an old Finnish Sailor friend of mine. Two days later, I did get to talk to a Bro and a Priest buddy.

Rest easy Spc. Sammy Boswell, never forgotten always respected.
