Volunteering as a firefighter while on A/D
I am currently stationed in Camp Lejeune, NC, and looking for more information on volunteering as a firefighter while on active duty.
I had started firefighting as an apprentice member in my hometown in 2007 at the age of 14 and joined the Corps in 2011. After being in Okinawa for 2 years and returning closer to home, I wanted to know about the possible outcomes of going home on leave/liberty to serve my hometown again. If anyone has information regarding this please respond.

Why don't you just ask your Fire Dept. about volunteering while your on leave ?

moonlighting(having a second/night job) is typically frowned upon. Only time I've ever heard of it being acceptable is if you are on some sort of school house/instructor duty and have the time to do so.
