General Dwight Eisenhower with USMC shooting badge
Dont know where this belongs, but, since it is from the WW I era, Ill put it here. Does anyone know the reason why General Eisenhower is wearing a USMC expert shooting badge ? even though he was in the army ? Did or do US army personnel typically wear another service's shooting badge if they train or qualify while tad with them ? just curious
here is the link to where the pic came from

Between 1924 and 1937 the USMC used the same badges as the Army. After 1937 the EGA was added to the Marine badge.

The First World War was from 1914 to 1918. So if this picture was taken during the First World War, it was clearly before 1924.
I'm honestly not sure though why the General would have that badge in the picture. I don't want to sound like a naive idiot here, but could there be a possibility the picture was doctored by someone over the years or b the person who submitted it to that website?
