    11-22-45 Thanksgiving Day Ship Arrivals

    Troop arrivals in U.S. Thanksgiving Day Nov. 22, 1945:

    Approx. 20,000 service men arrive at three East Coast ports aboard 16 troop carrying ships.

    West Coast arrivals - 30,000 Army, Navy, and Marines on at least 33 ships.
