Jump School Qualified (Medical Waiver)?
Hello Marines
Im in the process of joining and im swearing in next week. I want to go Logisitics and try for 0451 Air Delivery Specialist. I see that you need to go to Jump School to do this MOS, and i was wondering if anyone had any info on this... if i will not be able to do this MOS because i broke my leg a few years ago?
When i was talking with the Army about being an Air Calvary Scout he said i cant do it because of me needing a medical waiver for breaking my leg and having surgery on it. ( I had a rod put in my leg but its perfectly fine now and it was taken out)
My Marine recruiter said it wouldnt be a problem and i cant find any info about this on google so i was wondering if anyone here had any experience with this?
Thank you Marines.

Pass the flight physical...that's about it. Depends on how bad the leg was broken, and if you have pins, etc in it.

you should be fine if you pass the NSW/special physical. It was very non-intrusive from what I remember. In fact, a guy in my unit recently passed it and he is 38 and has been told be his doctor to get knee surgery.
