I'm 22

I'm still not sure what I want to do. Right now their is a lot of opportunity for me to advance in the Army. I'm not looking to prove myself by joining the Marines, I was just drawn to the whole brotherhood of the Marine Corps. That's what really got me thinking. Not that I don't have that here, but unless you have served a tour with your unit/platoon or been around for awhile, there really is no bond especially with the younger soldiers. No one looks out for you in the Army unless you prove yourself and that can take time. It's not like that with the Marines, I know I can come in as a "Boot" E-2 who just arrived to a unit and have a band of brothers that will be with me for a life time.

It's never too late brother. You can always travel the world in or out of the military..hear me?

Hey how goes with the baby sister baby daddy drama?

First let me say thank you for serving our country. My name is Michael and I am currently serving with the 20th Special Forces group(Airborne) in Birmingham Alabama. I read your comment in the Poolee forums and I appreciate you standing up for me. I understand these forums are mostly run by young Marines and I realize they have a lot of ego and that's fine. I have a combat tour under my belt and have also served on active duty with the 4th Brigade 4th Infantry Division Charlie Company 3/67 Armor in Fort Hood, Tx for 2 years. I was a mechanized 11B( Infantry). I've been to Air Assault school and attended Ranger school shortly after and was dropped for a broken ancle during second phase. I am actually not a Poolee incase you are wondering and I need to change that if you can help me. I was thinking of going into the Marines at the end of my enlistment, which is in 7 months or possibly re-enlist and go to Airborne school this January..as it is a requirement in my unit. Well enough about me, but I hope these young Marines can understand some prior service guys have done a lot more then they have and can show a little more respect. And again thank you for your understanding.

lol yeah we're a rare few i must say. its not too bad i just can't wait to get my car. only thing bothering me right now is i have to run another pft for 2nd half because schools never submitted mine and its slotted for right after i goto the gas chamber tomorrow
