Destination for Crypto-Linguist
Hello everybody, I have been researching a lot about my MOS, and I just have not been able to figure out WHERE they go once a cryptolinguist hits the fleet. I'm guessing a Radio Battalion, but I'm not entirely sure. Any information would be gladly appreciated, and please pardon any accidental violation of conduct or rules, this is my first time on the website.
Thank you!

Yep, you could end up in Rad Bin or attached to other units as a sig int specialist, lots of different places, although when you're dealing with an MOS that requires TS clearance the information is going to be harder to come by.
By the way, and this is years down the road, if you decide not to reenlist in the Marines, start job hunting before you get out while your TS is still active, that thing is like a golden ticket to a $75k/yr job.

Alright, thanks for the information. I'm not sure what I want to do with this MOS, I'm not sure if the skill set is as desirable as maybe an 0231, which I hear make good money as federal contractors, and even in the private sector.
Hopefully my time in the Corps will make me not want to stray when individuals wave paychecks in my face.

I only ever had a provisional TS, because I needed it while I was actually in country, and then once I was no longer in a billet that required it they pulled my package. But even my Secret Clearance got me a number of interviews, and an eventual job, that other people wouldn't have even been eligible for.
You're right, it's not a "golden ticket", but if you have relevant experience, having that TS clearance current saves your company hundreds of thousands of dollars.
