I remember traveling with the unit and colors as an ammunition carrier in W-3-1, 1950 - 1951.

The big difference I notice then and now is that there was in the '50's
not so much noise made out of nothing in the rear echelon. The '50's noise all came from the MLR.

One advantage of being a PFC is I'm not afraid of offending anybody, I can't lose. Lately the Marines appear to be suffering from that 10/1 ratio of rear echelon/grunts, a common tendency of late.

Therefore, nothing would please me more than to see the God Damned Gov't lose the 3rd time in this contrived waste of money and resources. The media folks and their lackeys are running low on something to rattlemouth about.

Marines, in case you consider I'm just an old grouch, maybeso, but I read books. I ask you to read "The Trouble with Lawyers" by Murray Teigh Bloom, written 1968, should you want to learn something about lawyers -- the source of all this BS.

It seems lately Semper Fi and Gung Ho is giving way to tattling and lawyering.
