    Current Grunt Training

    Hey Marines!
    I was just on the School of Infantry, West web-site. I was very impressed. The current training is ten weeks? So, a Grunt has eleven weeks of Boot Camp and ten of Grunt school? We got have the training in '79.

    Thanks! I was on PI for 13 weeks as well. We had 77 training days.

    We had 1 1/2 weeks of forming and then 8 weeks of intense training at PI boot. They were really running us through back then. Platoon 336.

    When I went through in '93, we had the 11 training weeks at PI, 5 weeks of MCT at Camp Geiger, then 9 weeks of ITB to receive the 0311 mos.

    Dentonz, You guys got much more than we did--26 weeks? That's a lot of training.
