MOS switch

My recruiter sent in my paper work and "locked in" my job. Only thing is, after talking to a few Marines in the artillery field, the job I chose doesn't sound as good as I thought it would be. Is it possible to change to a different MOS within the same field before I start MOS school? maybe during MCT or something like that?

By the way, I'm slated for 0844/field artillery fire control man.

Well I changed my MOS before as a Poolee, you should be able to as long as the Job you want is available...

As long as you have your contract switched BEFORE YOU SHIP OUT, there is no problem.

I have heard stories of certain recruiters not wanting to do a change. Yet, it is YOUR future. Do you really wish to be stuck in a MOS for the next 4-8 years that you did not want in the first place, and risk this screwing up your opinion of the MARINE CORPS!?
