    Roger Clemens to be indicted

Feds plan to indict Roger Clemens

    AP • August 19, 2010

Times reported on its website Thursday that federal authorities have decided to indict Roger Clemens on charges of making false statements to Congress about his use of performance-enhancing drugs.

Clemens and his former trainer, Brian McNamee, testified under oath at a hearing before a House committee and contradicted each other about whether Clemens had used the banned substances.

The committee held the hearing in February 2008.

McNamee has told federal agents, baseball investigator George Mitchell and the committee that he injected Clemens more than a dozen times with steroids and human growth hormone from 1998-01.

Clemens has maintained that McNamee was lying.

Rusty Hardin, Clemens' lead attorney said he was unaware of a pending indictment.

"We've heard nothing," Hardin said by telephone from Houston, "so I can't knowledgeably respond at all."

Earl Ward, one of McNamee's lawyers, said he, too, "had no indication something was coming."

Just one more distraction from the federal government so we aren't focusing on the real issues in this country.

Clemens should have never testified to something that he did which was not against the MLB collective bargaining agreement in the first place.

Kings and pawns... ball players use steroids, no ****!.... Manager bets on his team and is banished from baseball.

Lawyer/wannabe politician begins trading commodity futures using a grossly insufficiently funded margin account. Account bottoms out and is under-margin for an entire month, yet no margin call is made (routinely in place at the end of each trading day)
Prices rise.. and the client is allowed to pull out with a substantial profit generated while trading on credit, below margin, and with help from unscrupulous deviant market insiders who later are fined and suspended for illegal activities. Special customer feels a little heat later on but it does little or no damage to her political aspirations.
