active versus reserve?

I'm debating going into the reserves after 12 years of active service. However, I don't know how this will translate to when it comes to benefits and such. does anyone have any suggestions?

Yes, finish your last 8 years active. You will have to wait until you are 60 (last I checked years ago) to draw your retirement if you go reserves.

I would schedule a TEMPS class, or speak with a Prior Service Recruiter about what your options are and what the pros/cons would be if you were to switch to the reserves.
