My normal reaction would be to strike back with a backhand to the ears..I guess its good they are more than an arms length away.

    Very well said
Way more tactful than what I was going to post.
I actually have targets on paper that resembel the floppy eared one
that I shoot with my 870 at the range.
No one has ever questioned me about it. Not even the Cops I shoot with.

I'm working on Polotsi and 747 ears for targets but I'm using .22 so I can work real slow and and take my time piece at a time.

    You bet
I have a bolt action .22mag with a nice Simmons scope
that brings it up real close at 100 yrds.

Trying 150 yds with a Savage MarkII .22 w/Tasco Pronghorn 4x not bad scope for a .22. The ears are fun you can just nick them a little each time fun, fun, fun and cheap.

    Outstanding!
My .22mag is a Savage too.
Bought it at Walnuts on sale for 125.00 bucks in 97.
    It was on sale
Lots of meat has fallen to this rifle. Squirrels, rabbits, name it.
You know the difference between deer meat and vinnison?
    Vinnison is shot in season!

    Semper Fi!
