Do you get extra benefits for signing a longer contract?
I was just wondering if you were to sign a contract longer than the standard four-year, would you get any extra benefits?
Thanks

Doubt it. The only longer contracts I've come across so far were 5 year ones, and you're required to sign a 5 year based on your MOS sometimes.

I don't think so. IMO, it would be better to Re-Up after 4 years Active Duty to get any Good Bennies.

Do they still give re-enlistment bonus in the Corps?

I signed a 5 year contract in 2005, and no, i didn't get any extra benefits from it.
Also, certain mos's have a re-enlistment bonus. I just recently re-enlisted and received almost 30 grand. Life is good in the Corps!

Used to be that all Marines when re-enlisting got a bonus. The amount depended on how many years you signed for and MOS.

There are no added benefits for signing a longer contract. Some MOS's require a longer contract because the school is long.
Bonuses are slowly going away for re enlistments.
