Some of the things you guys are talking about I dont even know.

I.E. "Cock, Drill" I can't search to find out what this is without wading through pages and pages of porn... (dang I'm going to be up all night...oh what do we have here?...) oops got distracted but anyway, I live a long way away from these poolees and half the time they don't even come to the pool functions (which is the only time I see them) they manage to rotate out though to keep us from being able to do something besides IST.

    I love your signature.

Unfortunately, it is very unoriginal. I will have to change it once I come up with something better and original.

I like it too though, for now.

    I still like it though!
Anyways, sorry for derailing the thread. Now to my question:

My Gunny told us about something called "Family Night" at our all hands meeting this past Saturday. He said there's going to be a couple of Drill Instructors there for our parents to ask questions to and just get some information on what boot camp will be like. He also said that we'd be doing a small demonstration for our parents, just a couple of push ups. I know there's going to be more than just a couple of push ups, but I'm not sure what else we'll be doing. Has anyone ever been to one of these before? If so, can you tell me what we'll be doing? Thanks.

Looks like every body had an enjoyable weekend! My RSS took us out to a sort of park/trail, and we carried a 90-100lb+ log as a team of 4 around the trail that was about 1.5mi long. In intervals we did exercises with the log, acting as though it was a fallen Marine, we where told not to allow it to touch the ground. Exercises included doing push-ups with the "fallen Marine" on our backs, flutter kicks, hello dollys, squats, and many others. It was neat the amount of communication is needed to do all that without letting the "fallen Marine" touch the ground. After we returned from the course, we ran it, with out the log(since it returned being a log when we finished the course :P)...over all took my squad(we had two 4 man teams) 1hr 1min to do the course...

We did that with a tire haha, but since there were 7 of us, we had to go 3 miles...lol, running back words with a tire sucks, but it was a blast!

Yeah we had a good one as well out of RSS Madison, but we held the event at RSS Baraboo. We did an IST, played a few games of softball, flag football, and then had a cook out. On the 28th a few DI's are coming up for family night, which is gonna be a blast. Glad everyone had a good time this weekend.!

ONE giant trashing. Its not bad, its quite fun to be honest. Its just a small sample of what happens at boot camp.

A ton of physical training which was awesome and i just loved every second of cadence while runing near civilians. After a lot of the PT was over all eight of the RSS stations sat platoon after platoon and we all had a tug of war against each other 10 v 10.

It was a very awesome MOTIVATING day and i cannot wait until i leave in September for recruit training.

We just had our "mini boot camp", but no parents were present. I loved it all, but the fact that I slept for something like 3 hours in a sleeping bag on concrete.
