Your opinion

I want you guys to be brutally honest with me, tell me anything you know about these MOS's since I have to pick one.

0121 Personnel Clerk
0151 Administrative Clerk
0431 Logistics/Embarkation Specialists (Combat Support)

personally, they are in that order in which I would want. But any opinions or knowledge that you guys have I would greatly apreciate it. Just tell me anything about the MOS's.

If you guys sort of need help on what to say, ( I know that the Marines come's first, and i acknolwdge that) But which MOS will probably have more off duty time for me? Since I do want to continue school.

First, being brutally honest with you...it's Marines, not you guys.
Second, do a search on the site as these MOS's have been talked about before..

Did your recruiter tell you that you can choose between 0121 and 0151? They both sound like they'd go under the generic "Admin" field, which means other than picking Admin, MC picks for you. If that is the case, then your choice comes down to Admin or Embark, instead of those three.

If you go admin and want to re enlist good luck with that. I have seen alot of Marines not be able to re enlist because of the lack of boat spaces. I would go embark.

All I can say is you'll be using a computer. I don't know crap about Admin jobs. They still deploy, pt, do annual training, etc, like other Marines though. I'm sure you'll be in the field less than a combat arms MOS, so you should have time after work further your studies.

Embark deploys quite a bit. Admin does too.....it's sort of a toss up. Really, it depends on what you are more interested in doing for 4 years.

Again, it's Marines, not you guys, and as I previous mentioned to you in an earlier post, do a search on the site for the Admin MOS.

the admin job is a skate i was an amtracker then was recruited to work in co office by my co after my office hours. i worked as a 0151 and got trained as unit diary clerk then did srb clerk job all were good. whatever job you get do the best you can for the marines in your unit and you will be ok

My times have changed. We used to call admin jobs "Remington Raiders." Most of us used to join the Marine Corps to make a difference.

If the most important thing to you is to go to college, go to college or join the air force. Only join the Marine Corps to be a Marine.
