    It is a possiblity that he could come out of boot camp as a LCpl, being that he's prior service.
    When I was in, we had a prior female from the Army, and she graduated LCpl.
    So, unless that's changed, yes...it can happen.

    Must have something to hide that he doesn't want to fill out his profile. Must think he's something special that he doesn't have to fill it out.
    Oh well, maybe the mods will make this thread go poof....and him too!

    Look forward to seeing all of you actives on the battlefield. Buy you a drink sometime.

    As for the baddies jumpin' my S**t, be cool. I know that being a C.O. is B.S., but that was a lifetime ago. Some kids regret joining the military when they are older, other kids regret leaving when they grow up. Besides, I might give you a hand sometime, you never know.

    Your recruiters were extremely excited by the higher education (of course) because it means I can start Lance CPL enlisted, and move on to officer very short after. I'm looking to go career after all. Of course, you shouldn't be an officer without combat experience...but that's just one man's opinion.

    Yes, you can be ex-army. And there's nothing wrong with that, kiddo.

    Cheers,

    -Arthur
    I respect your attitude; most individuals in your position would not have been as thick-skinned.

    I agree that most people make a mistake in their life they wish they could take back. But being a CO is almost unforgiveable; it's about leaving your brothers and sisters in combat, and is viewed as a cowards way out. I could understand if you were Muslim and did not want to fight in this war- that would've been respectable. But as a Christian? No. Many Christians throughout history have honorably fought and died for their country. I am a Christian, and I gladly took up arms in Iraq. People join the military expecting to fight. To join the military and refuse to fight shows that was never really about religion. Now you feel ashamed of what you have done, so you abandon God and try to join the Marines to be known as a 'true warrior' in hopes of redemption.

    Marines are a band of brothers/sisters, we do not leave each other in combat. You made a mistake, and it is going to be nearly impossible to fix. Good on you for trying to fix it, but I doubt the Marines will give you the chance. You can't make things right with us, but you can make things right with God- I hope that you find redemption through faith.

    Good Luck.

    I am
    A United States Marine.
    My Tenets are Duty, Honor, and Commitment
    in services to God, Country, and Corps.
    No matter the Cost;
    No matter the Sacrifice
    Even to the last full measure;
    I will do my Duty.
    I will Honor the traditions of those Marines who have gone before me;
    As they have passed to me so will I pass to those who follow,
    The sword of Freedom, the banner of Courage,
    the unblemished Honor of the Corps.
    For services without Honor is not our tradition.
    I will serve with Honor.
    I will be, at all times, always faithful

    To my Fire-team, and to these Tenets
    I will be Committed.

    I am
    A United States Marine.

    We had an E-6 from the airforce who was a contract PFC, I'm pretty sure they got rid of the Contract Lcpl.

    This is the only thread I found on it

    Oh man, why would you become one in the first place? Just sick of being on deployment and wanting to go home and abandon your boys? That isn't someone I would want fighting along side me. I don't care what the excuse is, cause that unacceptable and I do hope any Recruiter you talk to tells you to f off. God Chesty would be rolling in his grave if you get in.
