I'm not too worried about being seperated from him and I'm not trying to get married to get off of Okinawa. Thats just stupid, because obviously its been done before and it didn't work so whats the difference if I do it now?
His MOS is 0651. Data technical specialist smart something or other.
And I'm just a wiredog..so he makes me feel kinda retarded..anyway.
I'm with 7th comm. The chain of command here isn't..as..um..cooperative with packages/requests..pretty much anything that goes up to company will sit there until its too late to do anything. (much like my fiance's extention package)
He requested mast and it took him 8 days to actually go talk to the 1stSgt and it got shot down because they sat on it for too long.

I talked to my SNCOIC about taking leave for the month of April after I get back from Thailand because I've been having other personal issues that require me going home. I still have to talk to him about the possibility of getting married while I'm on leave but I havent had the chance to since we're doing Thailand things and I've been in and out of MHU/chaplains office.

So he will probably end up in my old unit or going to MACS.

    0651 = Data Network Specialist.

So he will end up in MAG-13 or MALS-13 most likely and my expierence goes our CO was pretty lenient but things could have changed.

If you don't mind me asking, send me a PM, his name, and I'll ask my guys in MAG-13 to see what shop he is going to.

Should be able to see the inbound roster from MOL, don't remember if it shows specific small unit level destinations.

It should show on MOL for inbound, and if it doesn't show shop, but he is going to a unit, based off his MOS you can tell which shop he is going to.

Gents..I hate to be a bother, but he's worried about when he gets to the airport in Arizona hes not going to have someone to pick him up. I told him that they should know hes coming and there will be a Marine picking him up in chucks..but he won't listen. Am I right? Cause if I am I'm gonna slap him in the head when I see him.

It's not the commands responsibility to pick him up. A PCS doesn't always warrent something like that but if you call the unit and tell them you are coming in they may send a duty van for pick up.

Reason for this is because on a PCS and all official travel you are authorized travel claims, meaning he is expected to pay his own way and then he will get his money back after he checks in.

In most cases however there will be some travel plans in place by the unit and they will already have someone on standby to pick up new joins. Again, calling the unit will square that away, just call the OOD number or the S1 and you'll be set.

When I arrived in Okinawa at Kadena via MAC flight I had with me my wife, 2 huge dogs and tons of bags with no transportation. I ended up calling the duty and telling them to send someone down from Schwab to pick me up and take me to the lodge on base at Courtney. If I hadn't of done that it would have been a very expensive honcho ride from Kadena.

He needs to call the duty desk for MCAS and they will come pick him up.

    Call 928-269-2864.

Marines come and go at a base, so no one really "knows" he is coming, unless he announces himself. So have him call that number once he arrives at the airport.

The airport is adjucent to MCAS Yuma, since technically we own the airstrips
