i have a friend who is has sworn in (first time) and he is due to ship in November but he is having second thoughts. He knows he can still get out of it but what penalties would follow? would it be a dishonorable discharge or unsuitable?

Im not the recruit im a civilian the recruit is my friend. Im obviously not going to disclose any information to put him in a worse situation.
