Lat moving from 03's to 5811

Ive been in the Marine Corps for about 3 years now. I spent about 2 1/2 years with 3rd FAST out in Virginia and I just came back to California. I talked to one of the career planners and he said theres no way to lat move to MP until I reenlist. Does any one know the validity to that?

He's right.
You can TAD to MP's on a FAP but thats about it.
I assume you are with an infantry battalion now.
You may be able to reenlist now and get sent to MP's before your first enlistment is over.
That is dependent on a few variables however.
