MORRISVILLE, N.C. -

Marines traveling through the USO-RDU Center Wednesday, Dec. 10, will have an unusual holiday treat.

They will be served hot wings by Hooters girls.

Hooters of Raleigh Airport will arrive at 11 a.m. to serve up the wings and entertain the troops with t-shirts and calendar signing. For Marines who have been at basic training at Camp Pendleton in California and are headed to Camp LeJeune, it will be an unexpected surprise to have the Hooters girls, known for their shapely cleavage.

The USO invites coverage of the fun.

The USO is located in Terminal 1, second floor, on the Southwest end of the terminal, above The Corner Café. It is a 24-hour operation, seven days a week, one of the few 'round-the-clock USOs. The USO-RDU Center serves approximately 2,000 men and women in uniform a month. As of its fourth anniversary of operation last July, it had served 100,000 active duty, retirees, reservists from all five services and the National Guard.
