Going reserves and residing in a foreign country?
Hello Marines,
Out of curiosity, if I decided to go reserves, can I live in a foreign country (my case being the Philippines) or are there certain limitations to my mobility? And how often would I have to report to the Marine Corps. as a reservist?

LOL...I don't care who you are. That's funny right there.
Are you serious?
You will report 1 weekend per month and 2 weeks in the summer.
So, the answer is no. You cannot live in a foreign country.

Unless of course there is a US Marine Reserve RTC within 150 miles of the Philippines, Sgt.

The days of the minuteman are long gone, but they even had to live in this country! The reserves drill one week end a month a do annual training for at least two weeks every year, plus you have to live within 150 miles of your reserve station!
If your gonna run with the big dogs, you are gonna have to move to this country buddy!

One weekend per month...I would imagine that to be very expensive!
