Actually bringing the cell phone to boot camp's not a bad idea after all....That way when they are on their weekend liberty, he can call for taxi to take him to town..

I know I asked that a while ago. I asked because my 3 mile run time on a track was 3 minutes faster than running on asphault/shoulder; wanted to know so I could train my speed by running on the right surface.

Why aren't you asking your recruiter this question instead of wasting our time with it.Sure, why don't you bring a portable TV and some suntan lotion too.

    You are allowed to bring:
    - Cellphone
    - Laptop (So you can find your DIs MySpace.)
    - iPod
    - Xbox 360
    - Porn
    - Anything you deem nessescary.

The Marine Corps isn't the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Coast Guard so don't try and compare each boot camp and what they can have. I do know that the Army allowes you to have a stress card incase your drill sergeant yells at you to much and that you can have an iPod/Cellphone during basic training.

Wow, ding, ding, ding, it's the daily double expert poolee! Now he's an expert not only on Marine Corps Boot Camp, but all the others as well!

I think instead of calling this "Poolee Hall" we should call it "Rumor control" or "Experts only".

Wow make a guy a poolee and he' knows it all over night!

Slow down Brown! Get with the program!
