Cell phone coverage @ 29 Palms / Camp Wilson

Hi all,

Will be heading off to 29 Palms soon for ILOC and Mojave Viper for my first deployment to Iraq (I'm a tampon grunt with 2/25 in NY).

My cell contract is up and I was looking for up-to-date info on cell phone coverage out at 29 Palms. I currently have Verizon Wireless, but I heard that Verizon is useless out there. I have heard recommendations for Sprint and ATT/Cingular.

Was wondering what the most up-to-date scoop is, especially for coverage at Camp Wilson.

He's right. I've got buddies out there who are coyotes and they'll make sure your life is hell if they see that. Besides, the coverage in that area is really bad. AT&T is good on base though.
