    Rank structure in US Marines

Please forgive my ignorance but what do the E's stand for in your rank structure?
I was only in RM's for a little while!
Hope all is well for everyone.
    Take care.

The "E" in U.S. Military rank structure stands for Enlisted.

Now I have a question for you. How can you put down that you went through Boot at PI when you say you are a former RM?

There weren't any other options when I registered.

Either that or I was having a really bad day!

WTF is an RM Room Mate??

I think he is saying Royal Marine, as in the Brits. Am I correct Ricky30091?

    You are correct sir.

Now regarding my question; what do the various E's stand for?

Please put me out of my misery.

    Yours Aye

    Ricky,

Go back to post #2 in here. The E stands for Enlisted, which means you sign a contract with the Military to serve a certain number of years in that particular branch.

Ricky, the E- in front of the pay grades comes in handy when you are
comparing different rank's like, Air Force, Army,Navy,Marines,Coast Guard
and so forth, Officers are different, they have O-'s in front of their pay
grade. Like 0-1, 2nd Lieutenant., and so forth.
