    K9 team

    I am considering joining the marines and looked into some MOS's. I think may like to be on a K9 team. Do i have to join the MP to do this?

    yea, from what I understand you have to be an MP for 2 years and then volunteer to become a dog handler, I dont know what the training is like though, and if anyone does know like how much additional training it is to become a doghandler the info will be appreciated.

    This has been covered here more times than you would believe. Do a search of the forum and your questions will all be answered. But, in short- yes you have to be an MP, and there is no promise that you'll ever get to be a K9 guy when you enlist.
