I am now officially a poolee

I just got back from MEPS and I am now a poolee in the United States Marine Corps Delayed Entry Program. I'm freaking pumped up. I was wondering if anybody had the link to change from friend to poolee. Also my shipdate is 20080630.

Congrats! I've still got four more years to go before I get my shot at becoming a Marine; I'm going the commissioned route.

Congratulations! I'm glad to see many people shipping next June, so I have more people to relate to, haha.

I'm weighing in at 0730 in the morning. Someway, somehow I'm going to try to enlist. Complicated matter to explain but good luck.

Sorry Hurricane, but I'd like to hear your complicated matter, if its not too personal. I'm sure it might help others.

    Well here how it goes.

My height is the real deciding factor. I'm listed at 72" but I've grown some in the past month to where I'm inbetween 72.5" and 73". If I can get close to the line, Gunny said they might let me be listed at 73". We'll see, Its 0647 now. I'm leaving 0700 to weigh in. I'm practing to make myself look taller. Suck in my chest, stick out my head and slightly look upward to pull it off.

Raymon, I've read on different threads here about you not being able to get in, and now you're sorta telling the story. It seems you're saying you are overweight? You're trying to get taller and not drop some pounds? You must be right at your limit at 72", or slightly over, but at 73" you're ok? Regardless man you're right there, whats the big deal?

From your pic to don't appear to be too big, so I am thinking you can't have that much weight to lose do you?

Its going to be easier to lose weight than getting taller, but good luck anyways.
