    Blues Make A Difference

In 1971 while at Camp Lejune, I was notified by a friend our High
School class of 1968 was having a dance at the Armory in Cambridge,
Maryland to honor our Foreign Exchance Student's Visit from Spain.

Heads turned when I entered.....I got to slow dance with women
who never gave me a word or glance in School. Men came up to
converse. and both of us still being single, my steady girl of that time
hung onto my arm for the evening.....

I heard a story once about the headwaiter at a fancy restaurant would not let a man enter because he was not wearing a tie.

The man bet the headwaiter $20 he could return and would have to be admitted without wearing a tie.

You guessed it. An hour later, the man returned wearing his Marine dress blues. The headwaiter paid his $20 and let the Marine in.
