I believe there is a "time for everything under heaven." A time to build up, a time to tear down, etc.

What definition of the word "moderator" are you working with? I've always used this one: "nonpartisan presiding officer."

Maybe I'm missing something, but with your editing (i.e. deletions) of the exchanges taking place seems heavily biased, and ideas are not permitted to move forward and evolve.

Maybe I do not belong in this part of the world. Your reply will tell me whether or not people with differing opinions are accepted. Rocking the boat in the form of rational argument seemingly is not welcome.

I'd vote for McCain, but only if he were a Democrat. I feel the same about for Colin Powell.

1. A degraded Environment
2. A world who hates us like it has never do so before. We have lost the hard fought moral high ground won by the deaths of sacrafice of so many who have come before.
3. A war with 1/4 of the population of the globe that will last for centuries.
4. A three (3) trillion dollar tax break for the top 3% of the country.
5. A trashing of our Bill of Rights.
6. A thumbing of the nose at the other two (2) branches of government (Judiciary and Congress).
7. 3,000 dead soldiers to date.
8. Korea on the verge of a s**tstorm.


At this point, the Democrats are looking like the Messiah. NO ONE could do a worse job than what the Republicans have done to us. NO ONE. The Democrats are the beginning of the beginning of our way back out of (and even so, it may be too late) of a path the leads us hell-bent towards Armageddon.

1. For refusal to ratify the Kyoto Protocol? Even though I felt like it was the wrong decision (we should've signed and ratified) do we really want Communist China catching up to us and rapidly industrializing while we limit our industries for what may or may not happen 200 years from now? 2. The world does hate us. Bush is a VERY poor diplomatic leader. As for the moral high ground, we haven't completely lost it yet but it is sliding and it MUST be fixed. Which means no locking people up indefinitely without due process of law, no Abu Ghraib scandals etc etc
