Sounds like you got a dressed up version of a summary in order to make the notion of handing over your rights to the gov't more palletable.

As stated, I didn't read the book, and the summary I created was strictly based on what she has exhibited as a person in her behavior. I gladly hand over some rights to the government (police, fire, international law, etc.) in order to avoid anarchy. We temper what is handed over to the government through our representative government, and then seek wizened guidance and interpretation through the Judiciary when needed. The old, gray hairs on the Supreme Court, are supposed to bring Wisdom and balance to the equation.

While I am a registered Republican, I prefer to call myself a Patriot and an American. For a few years now I have become disillusioned with my party of choice, but the Democraps don't look any better. Simply put they are only an alternative that TOO MANY people are willing to settle for. And they certainly aren't the Messiah.

Sometimes we need to settle for the best that is available, and continue to work towards making the world a better place. The Democrats have a better track record than the Republicans, and although far from perfect they are far more perfect than what has been exhibited by our leadership over the past 6+ years.

I think we are in agreement on this. He needs to be nurtured. Hillary has certainly withstood the horrific winds and storms that have assaulted her, but Obama will hopefully have his time in the sun.

What concerns me is that this country has a terribly track record during my lifetime by murdering world-class leaders with promisd (the Kennedy brothers and Martin Luther King). May God protect us all.

I'm always respectful of "the fairer sex," when it is called for, but I take exception where Hilary is concerned. She is nothing but a typical politician with celebrity status; the fact that she is female doesn't exempt her from character attacks, that she so carefully and skillfully avoided during her husband's problems with the Intern Scandal. The allegations and evidence (so conveniently lost) that pointed to the Clintons involvement in the so-called suicide of Vince Foster beckons to question her character and suitability to hold such a lofty office as that of President. Also, her involvement in "White Rivergate" and more allegations and evidence (also conveniently lost) that showed her involvement in the real estate scandal and pollution of the White River in Arkansas. Hilary is hardly a lady, when she has no qualms about F***ing over the people of Arkansas if it will benefit her. I can just see her f***ing all us over should she become President (GOD FORBID).

A woman is a woman. Period. Guess I'm old fashioned.

Hillary could have gone ballistic during the Republican Pornographic Investigation of her husband's affair (That was between them, and had zero to do with governing). She stood up too well to be so easily dismissed.

I'm not big on conspiracy theories. There is no proof, and no evidence in their behavior that would justify a conspiracy theory. This is unfair.

More conspiracy theory with real estate deal and White River pollution in Arkansas? No evidence = No case. Even if it were all true, every allegation and imagined harm, and though it would be completely out of character for her to have ill-intentions, she is still the best bet on the block for a President who can help lead the way out the damaged world left by the Republicans.
