Unawarded Campaign Ribbons?

I am hoping that someone on the forum has the answer(s) to the following:

I was discharged prior to the awarding of the Combat Action Ribbon so it does not appear on my DD214 ... am I right to add the CAR to my current collection and how do I go about getting authentification? Also, I have been told that all Marines serving in theater rate the Viet Nam Cross of Gallantry w/Palm ... is this true and again how do I get authentification? In addition, was the PUC a Division award or is it Regimental?

Write to the below address. Make sure you give your full name, serial & SS number, address, the unit you served with in Nam and when..Request that you be informed of all ribbons or medals that you maybe intitled to. The more you give them the better. If your are intitled to a ribbon or medal that has not been issued they will sent one to you free. The form you get back will list all that you are intitled to.
