Question about pay during boot and beyond

Hello. I'm a contract PFC going to boot June 5th. After boot, I will be in the reserves so I had some questions about the pay. I realize I'll be in the E2 pay grade so will I be making active pay during boot? How does reserve pay work? Do I reseve half of the active duty pay a month or do I only get paid for the weekend that I drill? Or do I get paid monthly plus the drill pay? Sorry if these are stupid questions but any help is apprecited thank you in advance. Also company Ironman is when someone gets a perfect score of 300 on their final PFT correct? Thanks again

    Reserve Component Pay Overview

If you're serving in the Reserves, you're devoting weekends and training periods to our country's military -- and in return, you receive regular drill pay and other pay benefits. Here you'll find everything you need to know about your military pay benefits. Make sure you're getting everything you've earned.

If you are serving as a member of the Selected Reserves, you are eligible for regular drill pay, and might qualify for some special pays.

If you are not a member of the reserve click here to get the scoop on joining the Military Reserves.

If you are placed on active duty your pay will be change from Drill Pay to the same monthly pay structure as your active duty counterparts. Check out the 2006 active duty pay charts.

Below are the most common Reserve pay topics.

Wayne, to make things simple, Sat and Sun are each considered two days for your pay. So, a regular weekend will get you 4 days pay. When you have to be there Friday night, you will get 5 days of pay. For your 2 week training period, you will be paid for two weeks of active duty pay.

While you are at recruit training, MCT/SOI, and/or MOS school you will be paid in the same way as an active duty Marine.
