Go to the U.S. consulate in London at the American embassy and most all your questions about citizenship could be answered. Call 1-800-MARINES and some can be answered. read the Poolee,Mentor and Ask A Marine forums on this site and almost all your questions can be answered.

Butcher, if you would keep your question about becoming a Marine from England on one thread it would be easier to help you out. You have been told many times to get in contact with the Embassy, and even what forms you would need. There is also a link to a website where the forms are available.

You don't need to be a citizen, you only need to become a legal resident alien.

A legal resident alient is someone who is living in the United States legally, but is not an actual citizen.

As stated above you can join the Corps if you are a legal US resident Alien. (you know a "green" card, it's actually pink ...but, that's another story)

First step is to go to the consulate or embassy and apply for a visa to come to the US to work and live. Being from England it may not be too hard but ya never know now-a-days.

Second step, once you have obtained LEGAL status in the USA contact a recruiter and get that ball rolling.

Now is this EASY ... maybe not.
Will it happen over night .... Certainly Not
Will it take money ..... everything takes money
Is it worth it to become a Marine ....... YES!

Accomplish that task and you more than most will know what it takes to become part of this great country and part of it's best military branch of service

    Good luck

What's wrong with the Royal Marines?

There is one problem with Royal Marines... they are NOT United States Marines.
