Check out the book "BOOT" by Daniel Da Cruz. I got a copy at Barnes & Noble for $7.00. Also check out "Making Marines" from the Discovery Channel. If you have Netflix, they have all 3 DVD's. They will show most of what's involved in boot camp, day per day.

I've read Boot. That is a very good book, even if it is older. Another great book is Into the Crucible. Goes into a lot of detail about the Crucible and the different stations. It also talks about Marine Corps history, and the heroes (and heroine) that some of the stations are named after. Awesome book.

'One Bullet Away - The Making of a Marine Officer' - Capt (Ret.) Nathaniel Fick USMC

A great book for insight into Force Recon operations in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as the USMC Officer training at the beginning.
