That story illustrates much of what is in "The Art of War".

Sometimes, humour illustrates the point so that it is remembered!LOL

    Bones,

That story is in the right thread, because it truly is an example of "The Art of War".

Alot of Sun T'zu's messages are clearly potent and really combat effective, to bad the chinese didn't adhere to them during the boxer rebellions. or maybe he wrote all of the before the invention of machine guns. They have a nasty way of really messing up the greatist laid plans.

This one needs to be brought up again. A classic is always worth another look.

The "Art of War" should be required reading. If it is not on the Commadants list it should be. The Marine Corps Manual FMF6-5 Battle Order/SMEAC S-ituation,M-ission,E-xecution,A-dministration(Beans,Bullets,Bandages,Badguys) C-ommand & Signal was considered and adopted from this book,I am told.Major corporations also use this book in their training seminars.Excellent reading! Reviewed and recommended by Retired USMC Commadant General Al Gray. In bookstores it is found in the philosophy aisle, although it has on the back jacket Military/Business. Semper-Fi!
