    New Uniform Policy Order

I've got a couple questions and a comment about this order.
My question is: What's it mean when it's talking about a breast insignia on the Utilities? Rank insignia on the chest like the new army cammies?

And another question: What's the Blue-white uniform?

My comment is: That is complete bullcrap that they are gonna allow civilian contractors to wear our Marine cammies. They didn't earn them, don't rate them, and them wearing it will only make the Marine Corps look bad. What are people gonna think when they see video footage or photos on TV or something of people in Marine Digi's, but they don't have their boots bloused, or they have a beard or goatee, or they are a fat @ss, or it's otherwise jacked up? They aren't gonna know they are civilians, they are just gonna see th Digi's and assume they are some nasty looking Marines. They should be made to wear the old-style cammies with no kind of identification if they really need cammies.

Breast insignia here refers to insignia designating Aircrew, jump qual, scuba qual, etc.
Hopefully we will never wear rank insignia on our chests. However, that could create interesting situations for us in explaining to female officers that we were just "Confirming her rank" before saluting.

The "Blue-White" uniform refers to the wearing of white trousers with the Dress blue blouse.

Thanks for the info. The thing about the order above is that it mentions something, but doesn't say exactly what about it is changing. It just says "wearing of breast insignia" but not what's changing about it. I wonder what the deal is w/ the Blue-whites and who or when Marines will wear them.

Any more info on any of the new regulations would be appreciated.

Wear of Breast Insignia on Utility Uniforms. Per PMCUB decision of 8 Oct 2003, Marines may wear shiny, oxidized or antique breast insignia at their option with the combat utility uniform unless otherwise directed by the commanding officer.

The above is not an "order" - it's a "MARADMIN" or Marine Administrative Message. It's just a simple bulletin. Memos and Orders will follow later on. That's why it is so vague.

Here is the "Memorandum" that authorizes a change to the "Marine Corps Order"

    Memorandum

Blue-Whites are worn by Marines in ceremonial positions mostly like the band or those in diplomatic posts.
