An Ode to my Lady Leathernecks...

I wanted to share this poem my Father sent to me shortly after I graduated from bootcamp. It has to be the best poem ever written about a "Lady Leatherneck."

    A WOMAN MARINE

    She once had no direction
only lived life day by day.
She felt she had a calling
tho' she blindly made her way.
    Wanting to defend with honor
    defending to be free.

To hold her head high with pride
but live a life with humility.

    A woman like no other
with a will that makes a way.
Can't give up and stands her ground
    where others fear to stay.
    More feminine than a flower.
    stronger than any woman seen.

Because she's one of the FEW,
    the PROUD,
    Because she's a Woman

    - M A R I N E -

Congrats to all the poolees. This is the first step in the greatest decision you'll ever make. Remember nothing worth doing is ever easy! Stay moto and come back to see us when you earn that tittle.

Never mind them females, their just being "nasty males." Just concentrate on the journey that lies ahead. It's not going to be and easy task but nothing worth doing ever is. Never give up and Stay Motivated. OOHRAH!

Christine when I went to boot camp there were alot of naysayers. People were telling me I wouldn't make it, I don't know why I never quit anything ever in my life. I made it through boot camp just fine, don't get me wrong its hard work but well worth it. The only one who can stop you from succeeding is you.

Remember fellas, I'm a Marine first! OOHRAH! Ladies, this is a classic example of what a man does when he feels threatned. Christine listen to my fellow Cpl because she's right. In the end it all comes down to you and you alone. You still have plenty of time to decide. Use that time to decide if the Marine Corp is for you. Stay moto though. Semper FI.
