At a dinner for a Visiting United States Marine Corps General,a very junior Minister in the British Government apologised to the General for describing the USMC as Royal American Marines,the USMC General was far from being annoyed " Perfectly natural slip of the tongue," he said easily,"And anyhow it's more or less historically accurate.Our Marines were originally formed from deserters from your Marines said the General.

Okay can we have our Marines back please seeing that they have done such a fine job?.Aye JR
